Our Center was established in 1975. In 1987 Virginia Locke came to work at the center as a teacher assistant while obtaining her degree in Developmental Psychology and Sociology at Hofstra University. She took over as director in 1994 and with the help of her exceptional staff she has always maintained throughout the years, the center is a success. She is married with a family and has always lived locally. She is very involved with the community and has dedicated her life to all children, everywhere. She is a member of the Child Care Council of Suffolk County, a lifetime member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children and is a member of many local associations. She has lived in this community her whole life and is very familiar with it and everyone in it. This is one of the things that makes Humpty Dumpty Day Nursery School a very comfortable place to be.

Humpty Dumpty Day Nursery School is an early childhood center. We offer complete Nursery & Prekindergarten preparation with quality extended care available. We accept all children beginning at ages 2 years up until 5 years of age. We offer 3 year old nursery school classes and 4 year old pre-kindergarten classes are available.

Our staff consists of certified teachers and educated professionals, all providing an enriching academic program, fun loving environment and the utmost respect for eachother and every child. Our Staff seeks current training annually including infant and child first aid and CPR.

Our program offers a personalized attention with all of the amenities of a full academic environment. We are privately owned and operated so we have a limited enrollment. Our center prides itself on a family atmosphere with all of the skill and know how of a real school environment. Please share in our fun and visit as soon as you can.
